The Longing

Though marrow and bone
struggle and strive
It’s the heart’s longing, shouting loud

The gut-ache of expectation,
of insatiable: “I want more!”
That overrides reason.
and thrusts me into the unknown.

With feet in sand, and the song of waves crashing,
filled up with blues and birds dancing,
here my hunger is stilled.

I find You
in Your making.
